Accent. All words of more than one syllable are stressed on the last syllable but one, except for infinitives which are stressed on the last syllable.
For example, lI__bro, sI__mpla, A__pud, grA__nda, pardO__no, avE__rtas, mashI__no, trovE__bla.
Infinitives all end with the syllable -ar which takes the accent: trovAr, parolAr, studiAr. In other words in which the last vowel is immediately preceded by an i or a u, these two vowels are treated as forming one syllable. For example, studias and linguo are pronounced stU__dias and lI__nguo.
